Tips & Tricks For Creative Storage Solutions

Why Organise??

Organise – what came to your mind after reading this word? I am sure it will be somewhere on the lines of planning and cleaning in a physical sense.

Going by the dictionary meaning, “Organising means to arrange according to a particular system.” Now this arrangement can be physical as well as mental. Organising is not only organising your physical surroundings but also your thoughts.

Organising can do more for your health than you realise. It reduces stress, increases productivity, and increases the overall quality of your life.

Below mentioned are 6 benefits of being organised:

  1. Increase Productivity – Organised surroundings allow you to become more productive. You will be able to perform the task at hand better, rather than wasting time in distractions or finding things.
  2. Save Time – Having an organised environment comes with a handy time-saving bonus. If the house is organised and things are kept right, you will save time, generally wasted in looking for things. You can use this saved up time for many other activities like pursuing a new hobby, doing something creative, planning a healthy diet, etc.
  3. Reduce Stress – Clutter and chaos in the house often represent a person’s internal state of mind. By making efforts to put your external surroundings in order, you’ll positively influence your mind. You’ll get time to organise your thoughts, which will, in turn, reduce your stress levels and ease your anxiety. Staying organised lowers your “cortisol” (stress hormone) level.
  4. Balanced Life – By prioritising organising, you give yourself time to focus on what matters. Organising your daily schedule and making plans allows you to concentrate on what needs to be done instead of being distracted by things around you.
  5. Creativity – Clutter is the enemy of creativity. If you are organised, you will always have extra time (initially spent looking for things) and a focused mind, which will help you be more creative.
  6. Save Money – When your house is organised, and you know where to look for things, you save a lot of money spent on buying something you already own but could not find in time of need.

In short, “Decluttering and Organising is a form of self-care. Getting enough sleep, saving up extra time, being able to relax, and all other processes you need to maintain a good quality of life”.
